World Cafe Live to Re-Open September 29th, 2021!

July 21, 2021

We’re beyond thrilled to officially announce that World Cafe Live will re-open on September 29th! After 18 long months, we truly can’t wait to welcome you back to our house at 3025 Walnut Street.

We’re throwing a Re-Opening Party in The Lounge on Wednesday, September 29th–come check out our updated space, enjoy Chef Rob’s delicious new menu, and vibe to some live music from SnackTime & Deborah Bond. It’s FREE and open to all–RSVP is required but does NOT guarantee entry; capacity is limited. [UPDATE: RSVPs are currently FULL for this event. Priority admission will be granted to those who have RSVPed, but is not guaranteed due to limited capacity. If you did not RSVP, you may be placed on a waitlist and admitted only if space becomes available.]

Maggie Rose will play our first show back in the Music Hall that same night 9/29. Many of our opening week shows are already sold out, so don’t sleep on tickets!

We have an amazing lineup of concerts and events scheduled for this fall and beyond, with more announcements being added every week.

Our physical Box Office remains closed at this time. You can purchase tickets to any of our events online, or over the phone at 215-222-1400. If you have any questions about a specific event or ticket purchase, you can also reach us via phone or by email at boxoffice-phl@worldcafelive.com. Please note that we are still working with very limited staff and response times may be delayed, but we will get back to you as soon as possible.

As a nonprofit independent venue, we still have a long road ahead as we navigate the effects of the pandemic. We hope you’ll consider supporting us with a tax-deductible donation.

COVID UPDATE [8/30/21]

We appreciate that you are just as excited as we are to get back to in-person live events! As our September 29th reopening approaches, we have an important update regarding our venue COVID Policy. Although there is not currently a one-size-fits-all solution, we are implementing precautions we feel keep everyone as safe as possible while still allowing us to experience live music together. Please read below to be prepared as you make plans to join us this fall.

Until further notice, all guests will be required to show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination for entry to World Cafe Live. Negative tests will not be accepted at this time. Additionally, guests will be required to wear a face mask throughout the building except while eating or drinking. All WCL staff members will be fully vaccinated and masked at all times.

As always, we’re committed to providing a safe and comfortable experience for our staff, artists, and guests. We will continue to closely monitor local guidelines and national industry standards as well as stay in contact with other venues around the city.

Of course, the situation is ever-changing and we’ll continue to update our policy accordingly. Check back here for more information on what to expect when you visit WCL as our plans develop. We’ll also be contacting all ticket holders with current protocol closer to event dates.

Thanks for your patience, support, and understanding as we navigate these ongoing challenges. Your cooperation is essential to ensuring a safe and sustainable return to live music!
