Philly’s own Arthur Thomas and the Funkitorium will explore social justice and how music impacted past and current social justice movements through the soul music of the late 1960s and early 1970s. Participants will have an opportunity to either learn how to write a protest song, join the rhythm section of the band, or work with a DJ to curate socially conscious music of their generation.
