postergirl is a multidimensional, genre-bending band based in Philadelphia and New York. The band consists of vocalist Danielle Dougherty, bassist/producer Rani Adi, keyboardist Lonell Johnson, guitarist Zach Fischer, and drummer Julian Miltenberger. As long-time friends and musical collaborators, the group has cultivated their signature sound by creating forward-thinking music that blends live instruments with electronic tracks,
drawing influence from soul, funk, jazz, and R&B. Their vision has always been to craft music that serves as the soundtrack of their souls. They believe that music should be fun, collaborative, and an accurate reflection of who they are, where theyʼre going, what theyʼve been through, and whatʼs to come.
With a voice that calls back to soulful greats like Billie Holiday and Amy WinehouseL, ia Menakerʼs music blends a raw, vintage-inspired vocal with a
modern pop and R&B edge. Itʼs this balance, along with playful vocal loops and experimentation, that continues to fascinate and guide her songwriting and producing. Dubbed “noirtronica” by WXPN radio, her music has been featured over radio stations across the country as well as international film. She also wrote the original score for Welcome to Campfireʼs play and film “Subject” - the largest immersive danceplay to date. Lia has performed in 50+ cities around the U.S and has opened up for a diverse range of artists, including 2x Grammy nominee Raul Midon.
Maggie Mae is the Queen of funky female-fronted folk, soul, and rock & roll and a Philadelphia-based force to reckoned with. Combining genuine, heartfelt lyrics with catchy, cutting guitar riffs, her songs can either touch your soul or make you want to get up and dance. She has been described as “poppy, polished, talented, & promising,” by XPN’s The Key’s John Vettese, and been noted for her ability to effortlessly blend genres, her bands' tight musicianship, and their innovative covers (The Jamwich, 2019). Maggie Mae's single ‘Bridge of Avignon’ was featured as WXPN's Local Pick of the Day.
Maggie Mae, whose strengths include "knowing how to blend an acoustic feeling with a big band sound," (Philly Live, 2020) has shared bills with the likes of Soulive, The Heavy Pets, Dawg Yawp, Lohai, Lee Rocker, Danielle Nicole, and more at many of Philly and New Jersey’s premiere music venues.
After releasing her debut standalone single in 2020, Maggie successfully raised $12,000 through crowdfunding to fund her first album, ‘Welcome to the Party!’ This genre-defying project encapsulates the last 15 years of her musical evolution. The album’s first three singles—Ghost, Bridge of Avignon, and CYHMN—are now available across all platforms, with a fourth single, Clockwork, set to drop on March 11th. The full album is scheduled for release on May 28th, 2025, and will be celebrated with a live performance at World Cafe Live!
