Kids Rock Philly

Kids Rock Philly is no recital — be prepared for a rock ‘n roll festival that will leave you inspired! It’s an unconventional collaboration between School of Rock and World Cafe Live, benefiting WCL’s music education programs.

The eight participating School of Rock venues in the Philadelphia region host more than 500 kids every week, teaching them not only how to rock, but how to build confidence, how to work together and have fun in the process. And now, through a collaboration with nonprofit independent venue World Cafe Live, the Kids Rock Philly event is also teaching students the value and importance of giving back.

During this annual all-day festival, more than 400 School of Rock students from Downingtown, Fort Washington, Hockessin, Main Line, Newtown, and Philadelphia perform across World Cafe Live’s two stages. Proceeds support free music educational opportunities for thousands of Philly youth through World Cafe Live’s innovative programs. It’s full-circle philanthropy: kids playing music to make music programs possible for other kids.

Spend a few hours at World Cafe Live, where a great food and beverage selection will be available throughout the afternoon. On stage in the Music Hall, you’ll see dozens of talented young bands playing an eclectic mix of the greatest rock music of all time. The Lounge upstairs will feature house bands and a unique showcase of original material and compositions by School of Rock students.
