Bo Rains is a multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, and producer who embarked on her musical journey at the young age of 4 with formal lessons that ignited her passion for music. By 14, she had launched her professional career. Since then, Bo has recorded and performed with a wide array of artists, including the Bacon Brothers, Lauren Hart, Soraia, 1403, Stereo League, Gooch & the Motion, Alexis Cunningham, and many more. Additionally, Bo is a studio musician who works frequently with 9-time Grammy-winning producer, Joe “The Butcher” Nicolo on several of his projects for the Sound Mind Network. Her collaborations reflect her versatility and depth as a musician, seamlessly crossing various genres and styles. Like many musicians, Bo has traveled extensively between New York, Philadelphia, Nashville, and Los Angeles, fervently pursuing her passion. She has written and recorded many songs of her own along the way while trying to balance various day jobs to keep music at the forefront of her life, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to her craft. Following the pandemic, Bo felt it was crucial to continue to make music and to embrace a new, authentic approach to her songwriting. She began to step away from songs based on characters or third-person stories and to write new material that reflected observations that she had made as a new mother. Her late-night musings turned into a cohesive group of new songs that is rooted in some pretty heavy topics, but offers a perspective of hope through a maternal lens. She is currently recording and completing these songs for a late Fall 2024 release.
Max Davey shares her personal journey through intimate indie folk music. Maxʼs songs are about love, loss, and all the weird stuff in between.
Emily Drinker is an independent singer-songwriter from Philadelphia. Her soulful brand of folk, pop, and rock goes down smooth, whether sheʼs performing with her powerhouse band, the Funky T, or in a more intimate format, incorporating live looping. Recently, Emilyʼs song “5th Ave” won Song of the Year at the Homey Awards, and the song was also a finalist in the 2023 John Lennon Songwriting Contest. Her band has played at many regional festivals including Musikfest, Firefly, and the main stage at the Philadelphia Folk Festival. Emily has opened for Pat Benatar, Rufus Wainwright, Switchfoot, Bakithi Kumalo, and JD Souther. In addition to a busy performance schedule in Philly and its surrounding areas, Emily enjoys working as a session vocalist, performing in half a dozen local bands, running a group for women in the Philly music scene (Calliope Coalition) and hosting a festival in her backyard with her band/housemates (CINNAMiN Fest!).
